▼° AIDEN REESE °▼
Aiden gasped, jealous of Crow’s lucky situation. He placed a hand on his own chest, looking between Alys and Crow with his dark eyes wide, “Uhm, I could honestly use a sugar daddy right about now.” He waved a hand with a shake of his head, unable to help but smile. Between the free water he was blessed with and the news concerning the radiation had him feeling hopeful. If luck was on his side, he may actually survive the terrible world they lived in.
Aiden looked over at Alys when her attention as quickly stolen by whatever she may have heard in the distance. Him, not exactly built for this world, did not even notice the person. “Alys?” He asked quietly, trailing his eyes down from her face to her switchblade. He quickly tensed up and took a small step after her, unsure what to do but reach into his pocket for his own knife.

↣ NICO L. WARD ↢
Nico really wasn't surprised when his break was cut short. His breaks were always cut short. But Nico was surprised when someone stepped out from the shadows and right into his line of sight. It wasn't an undead creature of some sort, as Nico first thought. Instead, it was a living person who was a woman with a stern expression. Nico knew that showing any kind of expression would, without a doubt, give him a disadvantage, so he kept a neutral, uninterested look on his face. And he stared. He didn't make any sudden movements and he just allowed his green eyes to drill into her own eyes. From this distance he couldn't really see much detail on her face, but judging from her tense body and the blade - which he guessed was a switchblade - in her hand, he knew she considered him a possible threat. But then another person appeared at her side, and Nico involuntarily tensed, his lips pressing into a thin line. Then he got a better look at the other one. A male who looked to be around twenty in age. He was thin, maybe even scrawny, and he seemed to be anxious while holding onto his own blade. No offense, Nico thought, but you do not look like a threat. After losing interest, Nico settled his gaze onto the woman once more and stayed silent for a while longer. She looked like she had something to say, or ask, and Nico was going to patiently wait for what she was going to do next. If she decided to start something, Nico would be more than happy to retaliate. Although, he wasn't sure if doing that would be a wise idea. Afterall his own weapon is still inside his backpack, where Nico had tossed it in when he was getting tired of holding it. It would take more than a couple of moments to unzip it and fish it out and she could be on him within those wasted seconds. So, Nico stayed still in a relaxed manner. And waited.

✗ Kitty ✗ The junkyard was hardly a five-star hotel. Even in this derelict world Kitty scrunched her nose in disgust as she made her way around the heaps of trash, unable to shake the feeling that the area was a breeding ground for infection and disease. Apart from the obvious scrap metal, Kitty had no idea why people would want to take up permanent residence there. If she had it her way she would never visit at all. The people were the only thing that made her keep returning. The gangs that lived there were unpleasant at best, but they were happy to trade with her – especially when she was offering weapons. The armour-clad woman shifted her ‘catpack’ so it hung more comfortably on her shoulders. The two rifles that peeked out the top of it were the items she was hoping to trade, as well as a couple of butcher knives and an aluminium baseball bat if the gangs had anything particularly interesting. Hearing voices Kitty swiftly hid behind a long-abandoned sofa, waiting for a moment before peering over the top. There were five. Two women, three men. All appeared to be young adults. Kitty squinted at them. They didn’t look like the regular gang members who hung around there. She might have traded with these new people in her past travels, or she might not have. She couldn’t really tell. Ducking below her cover again, she checked over her weapons (the glock in her holster, the hunting knife strapped to her leg, the switchblade in her boot – all ready for action) and made another quick sweep of the area she was about to turn her back on. Then, she stepped out towards the five. She raised her left hand to them in the universal symbol for surrender, yet her right hand still lingered over the glock in her holster – just in case. “Don’t shoot!” she called gruffly, her voice slightly muffled by her helmet. “Anyone looking for some extra protection? Cause I’ve got a crap-tonne of weapons and would be open to trade.”
Addressed: Aiden, Alys, Crow, Nico, Toni Mentioned: --- Notes: If anyone wants their character to recognise Kitty from previous trades with her, that would be cool ^^ and if not that's fine too of course~

Crow had laughed at Alys and Aiden’s comments about having a sugar daddy and shook his head. He found it all in good nature. But it was sudden that the air shifted into something potentially dangerous when the stranger appeared at Alys grabbed her knife. He turned to stare at Nico and narrowed his eyes, with all his attention on the silent man, he nearly screamed from being startled by Kitty. He turned in her direction and his eyes widened, recognizing her from past trades. He hardly knew her, but he knew her to be trustworthy in her trades. “..Kitty?” It was all too strange, the sudden appearance of two people in a place like the dumps. He worried if they were about to be mugged.

✗Kitty✗ Hearing one of the men say her name, Kitty let her arms fall casually to her sides. She inspected the one who’d spoken, taking in his dark wavy hair and pale complexion. He certainly did look familiar, and the more she stared at him the more she recalled past encounters. What was his name… Bird? Blackbird? Rook? Crow, she finally remembered. She gave him a curt nod. “Crow,” she greeted. More comfortable in the presence of a previous customer she removed her helmet and tucked it under her arm. She ran a hand through her messy hair as her gaze flicked over the rest of the group. They mostly seemed kind of tense, which she supposed was to be expected when a random stranger approached them. Still, she hoped they weren't too stressed; she didn't want anyone going trigger-happy on her. Returning her attention to Crow she gestured vaguely to their surroundings. “You here looking for something in particular? Maybe I could help you out.” She didn’t bother adding ‘for something in return’; with her profession it was always implied. Addressed: Crow Mentioned: Aiden, Alys, Nico, Toni Notes: ---

ALYS THILDORN
Alys pursed her lips as the moments ticked by and the stranger didn't say or do much of anything. Aiden was a comforting presence by her side, despite the fact that they weren't much more familiar with each other than with this new man, and Alys had to restrain herself from stepping in front of him protectively as the stranger sized them up. He didn't seem to have a weapon, though, and there were no other approaching figures, so for now she decided to play nice. With a click Alys folded and pocketed her switchblade. "Who are you?" she asked simply. It's not like she could ask him to leave, after all.
Before the stranger could answer a new voice called out, startling Alys so bad that she flinched and knocked into Aiden's side with a gasp. Her head whipped around to see a helmeted figure, and before she could even question who the hell was sneaking up on them Crow seemed to recognize whoever it was as "Kitty". The name sounded familiar but it was the girl's face that clicked in Alys' head. She'd seen this Kitty hanging around the market and other populated places, often with her backpack stocked to the brim, and though Alys never talked or traded with her personally she knew that many others had and found her trustworthy. So with Crow watching after her for now, Alys turned her attention back to the strange dude and ignored Kitty's offers, waiting for him to introduce himself.

▼° AIDEN REESE °▼
Aiden stood where he was, clutching the knife in his hand with a nervous expression. He was scared the newcomer was actually a member of one of the gangs, and he was definitely not strong enough to deal with one of those guys. He glanced down as Alys clicked her blade closed, but he didn't follow. He kept his own out just in case that turned out to be a big mistake on her part. He kept close to Alys and had gone to speak to the man as well when a female voice spoke out.
The poor man jumped with a squeak just as Alys ran into him. Quickly overwhelmed and unprepared for an ambush, he dropped his knife accidentally and grabbed a hold of Alys' arm with wide eyes. His dark eyes shot over to the girl, studying her for a long moment, not even processing what she had said in the first place. It wasn't until Crow had addressed her as 'Kitty' that he slowly began to relax. So they knew each other. "I'm not sure how much more I can take of this. I'm one more scare away from a heart attack." He quickly released Alys and placed a hand over his heart to calm it, shooting Alys an apologetic smile for grabbing her. He looked from Kitty to the male stranger, automatically assuming that they must have been paired together, "Uh.. hello!" He greeted to them both with a slow wave of his hand.

↣ NICO L. WARD ↢
And then more appeared. Another girl. Another guy. They are literally 'roaches, Nico frowned and tilted his head somewhat to the right, inspecting them all (save for those two whose names are a loss to him). He inspected how they talked, stood, and how they interacted with one another. By doing so, Nico was not only able to determine some of their personalities but also their relationship with one another. The blonde seemed to be more comfortable around the man with the wild-ish hair. The scrawny man seemed to be comfortable with the blonde since he did, in fact, cling to her when another lady appeared. And the man with the wild-ish hair seemed to be comfortable with them all, even the new lady with the long brown hair since he did say her name. But then she - Kitty - referred to him as Crow. So Crow was the man with said hair. Noted. In short, they all seemed to know one another. A bad sign. That meant they were all allies and that they would not mind coming after him if things went South. Not exactly a comforting thought but Nico knew well not to show any signs of discomfort. He refused to put himself at a disadvantage. Besides, they seemed passive enough. The blonde lady did put away her blade before asking for his identity. Perhaps she meant no harm... But Nico knew better. She seemed to be the logical type of person. Without a doubt, she must have been thinking of other factors before speaking up. He allowed her question to hang in the air for several seconds. Not exactly for a dramatic effect but so he can properly think for a moment. He wasn't sure if he should really give out his name. Afterall, the last thing he wanted to do was get acquainted with people. He merely wanted to cross the fence, take a break, then continue on his way and do his best to survive like he has always done. Meeting people here was not something he expected but he really should learn that after everything, expecting the unexpected would do him well. Realizing his paused for a moment too long he responded. "Name's Nico." And that was all the information they were going to get from him. He didn't bother asking for their own names because he can easily learn them indirectly like he had done with the man named Crow and the lady named Kitty.

Crow's eyes flicked from Kitty to Nico. He began to sense they weren't with eachother and relaxed just subtly. He waved in Nico's direction before he walked over closer to Kitty, examining her closely before he spoke. "I've already got what I need, But thank you." He risked another glance at Nico, the guy didn't seem right, untrustworthy or something. Whatever it was sent a tingle down his spine as he watched him a moment more than turned back to Kitty. "We were just about to leave. Be careful in here, okay?" He offered and readjusted his pack on his shoulder.

TONI SELENE-AMBER WELCH
With sage-hued eyes narrowed towards the two new arrivals, Toni stood next to Alys. Distrust and suspicion radiated from Toni's demeanor. Even if Crow knew one of the strangers, she still felt odd. Her uninjured hand rested on her trailing pointed knife. As the untamed hair dude spoke to the girl, the Welch didn't attempt to direct her wary traits towards the female that Crow seemed to know, but more towards the lad that called himself Nico. A weird feeling was settled in her gut, jumping around with the stranger's every slight movement.

✗Kitty✗ Kitty ignored the jumpy lad’s greeting and wave; her dark gaze was focused on Crow as she waited for his response to her offer. When he politely refused and gave her some advice she simply nodded. On another day she might have insisted on him at least looking at her wares in a final effort to tempt him into trading something, but at that moment she didn’t quite feel in the mood. Besides, she could get more out of people who actually needed her wares. Those who were only vaguely interested in her products usually didn’t offer much in return. The black haired woman backed away from the group, retreating to the upturned couch she had previously hid behind. She figured she would wait there until the usual gangs arrived; maybe the sounds of conversing people would draw them out. She watched the blonde woman and the man with chestnut brown hair have a weird kind of stare-off, and overheard the latter introduce himself as Nico. Meanwhile the girl with pretty rose gold hair had an obvious look of distrust painted across her features, and the jumpy lad still looked, well, jumpy. For a moment Kitty wondered who they all were and what their stories were. Then she realised she didn’t care. Addressed: Crow Mentioned: Aiden, Alys, Nico, Toni Notes: yikes

ALYS THILDORN
Alys barely even flinched as Aiden clung to her, clearly startled as well from Kitty's random appearance. After her own little outburst, it wasn't like she was in a place to judge, anyway. She just kept her gaze even with the other stranger, watching him with deteriorating amounts of patience as he took his sweet time deciding whether to answer or not. Eventually he revealed his name to be Nico. Alys felt her distrust in him matched by Toni's as she sidled up beside her, and for a moment Alys was grateful she didn't force herself and Crow to leave the dumps when they first arrived. She almost forgot how nice it was to feel backed up.
Alys caught on to Crow mentioning leaving, and she spared a glance at him before turning back to Nico. "Alys," she grunted, nodding to him in attempt to soothe some of the tension. It didn't work much, but she didn't want enemies.

▼° AIDEN REESE °▼
Aiden frowned at female stranger as she completely ignored him and instead, retreated to the couch. He frowned as she just sat there to study them all, suddenly feeling very rejected. He wasn't one that dealt well with being ignored so obviously, especially since he had met so few people that weren't dead. He sighed quietly in disappointment, turning his gaze over to Nico just as Alys introduced herself.
He scooted closer to the girls, his pocket knife still out and clutched tightly in his hands, "I'm Aiden.. uh, Aiden Reese." He introduced nervously. Without thinking, he moved to wave again, but with the hand that held the pocket knife. The man's distant behavior had Aiden on edge, the others were easier to group up with but this was just another barrier to go through. The barrier made up from lack of trust.

↣ NICO L. WARD ↢
Nico blinked a couple times, unfazed by the sudden amount of life. Although he couldn't help but allow a smirk to play on his lips when he noticed Crow staring a second longer, looking uneasy. No surprise there. Nico was known to have a quite intimidating first impression when it came to meeting new people. It often worked both in his favor and against him. In his favor because it often guaranteed his solitude and privacy but it can also backfire on him when people stare to get suspicious and formulate some ideas in their heads about him. Nico always hoped people were smart enough to pick the former as a course of action. Shifting his sharp gaze from Crow, he settled on the woman who introduced herself as "Alys." The distrust she felt for him at the moment was also obvious (he didn't think that feeling was ever going to change) and it honestly made Nico want to laugh. He didn't mind it. The more reason they had to keep their distance, the better off both sides would be. After all, in a world like this, close relationships should not exist. One needs to put their person above others and caring for others just meant you were willing to throw away your life for them. If push comes to shove, throw them. A sudden deep, and perhaps morbid, thought, yes, but it was logical way of thinking and the only way to survive was to think logically. Getting emotional just means getting yourself ripped apart. And honestly? Nico wouldn't be surprised if one of them died within the next two or so weeks. Maybe even less.
Once again realizing his reaction was a bit delayed he spoke once more, his tone void of emotion and contradicting the words he used, "A pleasure."
He did enjoy the company of others, sure, but that was because he enjoyed studying them. He enjoyed testing his intelligence. He enjoyed picking out information, figuring out pieces of a puzzle in a sense. But to socialize was something else. He didn't enjoy it. It just put him out in the spot and if he, by some rare chance, stumbles upon a person who is much like him, then they would have a chance to test their own intelligence and try to figure him out. That was the last thing he wanted. And so, with that in mind to motivate him, Nico suddenly picked himself off the ground. He didn't care what their reactions would be like. They were fairly spaced away from one another and he was positive that to suddenly pick himself up was not an action they were expecting. Plus, Nico really did doubt that any of them had some sort of firearm on their person.
With the intention of ending this interaction, Nico unzipped his backpack and fished out his knife. After a pause, and a slight smile, Nico stored it in the back of his pants. A warning, maybe. Then he zipped it back up and slung it onto his back. Even though his break was cut relatively short, he felt refreshed. It was the most he was able to get in awhile.

Crow watched as Kitty retreated and paused for a moment, and then shook his head to himself. The movement of Nico had caught his attention again, and he stared on for a long while to assure he wouldn't try anything. "Don't stick your ass." He commented and rolled his eyes before moving on. He had no business being here anymore thus he saw it time to leave. He looked back as Alys and motioned with a jerk of his head to follow along with him, and to bring poor Aiden along too. He looked to Toni with inviting eyes to let her know she could join them if she wished. Without another word, he turned and began walking for the hole in the fence.
